When it’s time to jump ship and change WLAN vendors, there is going to be stress regardless of how sound the decision process was. Even when moving to a “better” system you’re going to find oddities, rude surprises, head scratchers, and realizations that lofty promises of AI-enabled this and that aren’t always really that wonderful. It’s OK… I’ve been there. I get it. Let me walk you through my...

Wi-Fi6e and Wi-Fi7 are bringing new client capabilities and performance for wireless users. How can we better understand the individual use case? Data analytics. Analytics provides indicators for the physical state of the Wi-Fi network and how it is being used. Dissecting the data, understanding the data, and using the data can improve the business outcome. We should have the latest Wi-Fi numbe...

Mentoring the Next Generation of Wireless Pro "Padawan to Jedi" | Ian Tearle | WLPC Phoenix 2024
How do preamble puncturing negotiations occur? Is it automatic? Is it supported in both 2.4GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz bands? Is there any latency penalty? In a case of a network with a mix of devices, some clients that support preamble puncturing (Wi-Fi 7/6) and some that do not (Wi-Fi 5/4). How will the network behave?
Let's face the facts, wpa3 is wonderful but what wifi items actually support wpa3. IoT doesn't. Unless you purchase a brand new laptop, it doesn't. Having a router that supports the latest and greatest security features while everything else doesn't is in a single word "USELESS "

Muy buena presentación, gracias por compartir! Yo en vez del "manuf" file, lo que edito es el "ethers" file para nombrar a los equipos que estoy analizando.
Thank you Glenn for kind remarks and awesome review of my Blog. Good job Wireless LAN Pro team.
Yo this is my dad luv him btw uhm I was on safari and found this! This
Useful presentation. Customers do value when you follow the tailored approach Todd presents here.
I'll wait 2 more years. Then I can buy cheap used WiFi 7 routers for $20 that were $200 new.
Believe it or not, EduRoam started at the University of Tennessee, not Europe.
Great Presentation!
That's a sage top. Stop transcribing data when it's clearly available in text. So many errors come up due to this. Also, don't send screenshot of text, send text!
Aruba in a warehouse??? Not a good choice.
For positioning, Instead of using uwb can we use Bluetooth?
Nicely and timely explanation, Elliptic curves :)
'You are such a great cheat'. 🤣. Anyways, thanks for the trick. Works like magic.
Awesome!
Would it work in sports if it’s just to test if the ball goes out of two vertical planes?
Do you see any more attempts at MAC spoofing now on the networks?
No, MAC spoofing is relatively pointless since a user can't even connect without the corresponding iPSK.
A better product would be HALOW 802.11AH combined with 802.11s Basically long range WIFI in the ranges of 1.5km up to 3km achieved thru 700, 800, or 900mhz frequencies and narrow bands from 1 to 8mhz. And combine that with mesh networking of 802.11s similar with the Alfa Halow-U. Then it becomes a great product. Some suggestions might be; - make Halow MIMO device for increased bandwidth up to 32mbps maybe. - lower frequency to 200, 300, and 500mhz and possibly increase the power output to somewhere in the 5, 10, 20 watts for increased range maybe 5 to 6 miles. - add removable battery for portability like a ham radio. - put it in a ruggedized case similar to an MPU5 for tactical usage with two removable MIMO antennas above. And a gx16 8pin port for ethernet connectivity. Also 2.4ghz wifi hotspot. Since it would offer similar functionality of long distance IP mesh networking to EUD or smartphones offering data, video, voice comms. - AES256 encryption maybe. - add a built-in hardware for voice comms like zello. Finished product would be a civillian MPU5 clone that would be low cost but definitely functional, robust, and cheaper. Market would be Military Enthusiasts, EMCOM, NGO's, Ham radio hobbyists, Airsoft and MILSIMs, and many others.
hahaha.. looked like hes addressing a mass service.. I just love his wrinkled shirt
An overview, not a review. No info on how it performs…
Making it work so easily, is so hard. Well done, a really professional job.
if i have intrinsically safe wireless transmitter did i need Zener or Galvanic barriers in control room to limit the voltage and the current , please answer my question . thanks
WirelessHART transmitters are wireless, and do not have wired connections to the control room, so barriers are not required. Class 1, Div 1/ Zone 0 devices are available for installation in Hazardous Areas, and there are hundreds of thousands installed in refineries and in upstream hazardous environments today
Thank you for sharing. This is really palatable and well conveyed
Great work and a great app, Todd. You and your son crushed it.
15:30 10 type of people in the world those who know binary and those who don't
in my head, drawing upon a distant mechanical background, it looks like sending nuts down a bolt, each nut has a '12 o'clock marker' and it depends upon where you put that marker, in phase, out of phase, quarter phase, eighth, then when it comes to amplitude, its like sending a bigger or smaller not on that same bolt.
brilliant thank you
I just subscribed. Thanks
Thanks for this video! Pretty systematic way of doing this mentally. We can also modify this to the voltage log/dB expression of YdB = 20log(x) by changing the values in the dB column to 2x ie, 20 dB => 10 and 6dB => 2. So for example: 60dB would become: 20+20+20 = 10^3 = 1000 times And 26dB would be: 20+6 = 10*2 = 20 times Appreciate your effort to simplify this!
Thanks Nadeem
непонял что теперь ждём wifi 8 ?

I love this! Pat if forward! Mentors can change the trajectory of your career.
Small waves make big ripples. I totally appreciate all you have done for the WiFi community. I'm glad I pulled money out of my own pocket to come see you present at Sydney Opera House at Ekahau WiFiDesignDay after missing my flight from Brisbane. When are you comming back to Australia? Gold Coast is very nice!
Cool you made the Omni semi-directional 😅
Amazing presentation!
Nicely done. You are missed. Keep having fun and innovating solutions.
Thanks for the talk. Was very interesting
Or 900mhz is back, and it’s better.
Great content, respect
Excellent presentation Charles. Well done mate
That was a great (a very simple!) way of showing how to deliver a very good WiFi report for customers. Thanks Todd!
Congrats Todd & son !
This is our deliverable to our customer ! Very good recommendations Todd
Until you can’t. 😉
Hugs Mr Parsons. I have never seen you that emotionally. But thanks for sharing your inner self. I can only recommend the readers of this thread to dig into Keith. He is doing and have done a lot for the wi-fi community. I even had the honour to be taught by him in a course. Great great guy
18:42 that was really weird
pretty sure it was a dry joke
Time has changed and we see a new wifi standard every two years. The clients cant keep up with this. No matter all the goodness of WiFi 7 it is not a goto solution in enterprice networks. Just implementing 6E is a bitch. But I believe this will be a banger in private networks. For big business I guess we will wait for WiFi 8
Very well done. And good to know we have the tools out there to be able to detect these problems and give users the best possible experiences.
